沖縄は来間島にあります、シーウッドホテル。2020年2月22日オープンの新しいホテルです。
Hi guys! I’m Kaori. Thank you for visiting my blog. Let me share a recent trip I took with my husband. Jason and I stayed at the Seawood Hotel located on one of the very northernmost islands of Okinawa called Kurima! The hotel, which opened February 2, 2020, is well known for the brilliant sunsets, and its main building looks like Ryugu-jo—a castle from an old Japanese tale. Once you enter the property you might think you’re in a dream world.
ホテル敷地に入ると、
竜宮ハウスと呼ばれるメインの建物がお出迎えして下さいます。その晧々たる佇まいは、まるで竜宮城に迷い込んでしまったのではないかと思わずにはいられません。
飛行機の旅
さて羽田空港から2h54mのお空の旅を経て宮古下地島空港に到着。
素敵なFAさんたちのお陰様で、快適な空の旅を堪能できました。ありがとう御座いました。
The Flight
It was a 2 hour 54 minute flight from Haneda airport to Shimojishima airport.. The view from the flight was excellent. Also, the hospitality from the flight attendants was wonderful! Thank you!
空港からの交通手段
私達夫婦は運転免許がないので（夫には国際免許を早く取得してほしいです笑）
移動手段はバスandタクシー。
まずは下地島空港から路線バスで、ドンキホーテ前まで約40分程のバスの旅。( 1人600円）ホテルで必要であろう水やら軽食やらを購入しました。ドンキホーテからは協栄タクシーさんで、Seawood Hotelまで送って頂き20分で着きました。2500円くらいだったでしょうか？覚えていないです。
Access to the hotel
If you don’t have a driver’s license, you can take a local bus from the airport to the city to pick up anything you might need then catch a cab. In our case, we took the local bus to Don-Quixote—a shopping center—which took forty minutes (around ￥1200) to get snacks and other stuff because there are no convenience stores on Kurima island. Then, we caught a cab from there, which got us to our hotel in just twenty minutes.

チェックインを済ませ、広い館内の説明を受けます。フロントからお部屋へはカートで送迎して下さいました。
ヴィラスタイルのプライベートプール付きのお部屋。
ブラウンを基調としたリビングルームはウッディでエスニックな雰囲気です。タイや東南アジアに瞬間移動した気分。
清潔感のあるバスルームと、全自動のお手洗い、なんとウォークインクローゼットまであります。
プールはタイリゾートのプール付ヴィラを思い出させる青いタイルを敷いた造りです。
Our Villa
We first checked in first then were taken to our villa in something like a golf cart. We had chosen a villa style room with a private pool. The modern villa had a Southeast Asian look and feel. The ensuite bathroom was modern and very clean with a spacious bath that had a view of the ocean. Surprisingly, there was also a large walk-in closet, ideal because my husband always overpacks. The private pool was finished with beautiful blue mosaic tiles. I was so amazed by this—though the water level was about five centimeters away from making it a true infinity pool.

お部屋の石鹸類は全てタイ生まれの、有名ナチュラルコスメブランド『THANN』の製品でした。
香りの高さ、見た目の良さ、そしてすべての生き物を大切にする『THANN』を使用できてとても心地よく、リラックスできました。
The Amenities
The bathroom comes with the typical toiletries. The soap and body creams were from THANN—a well-known quality eco-friendly brand. Also you can get bath salts from the hotel lobby. All of these guarantee a relaxing and enjoyable bath.
敷地内の売店
フロント向かえに一店あります。敷地内には自動販売機はないので、お水やお酒、軽食やお土産、水着やお洋服類を購入するにはこちらへ。
(私達夫婦はお酒や軽食は少々持ち込んでいた為、困らなかったです）
フードトラックで軽食も購入できます。17:00から21:00迄の営業で、定休日は水曜日とのことです。バナナスムージーとグリーンカレーを頂きましたが、絶品でした。
Shopping
On the premises, across from the lobby there is one shop, which sells drinks and light snacks as well as souvenirs, clothes and bikinis. Actually, everything is a little bit pricey so I recommend you to prepare what you need before you come to the hotel as we did. There is an onsite food truck that is open from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. every evening except for Wednesdays. It sells a variety of smoothies, alcohol beverages, and street-style ethnic food. The green curry and banana smoothie were so delicious. I recommend the food truck, and the prices were really reasonable.
